ABOUT UNFLTRD THERAPY

How Change Happens?

Feeling deeply rooted in yourself while remaining deeply connected to others.

Many emotional struggles don't live in just one place.
They affect:

How we understand ourselves.

How we understand ourselves.

How we experience ourselves emotionally and physically.

How we experience ourselves emotionally and physically.

How we connect with other people.

How we connect with other people.

For this reason, my work focuses on three interconnected areas:

Understanding Yourself

Some patterns need understanding before they can change.
Together, we explore the beliefs, emotional patterns, protective strategies, internal conflicts, and life experiences that shape how you see yourself and others.
As self-understanding deepens, people often find themselves responding with greater flexibility, freedom, and choice rather than reacting automatically from old patterns.

Experiencing Yourself

Many people understand their struggles intellectually but still find themselves emotionally stuck.
They know they are safe, yet remain anxious or hypervigilant.
They know they are worthy, yet continue feeling inadequate.
They understand their patterns, yet feel unable to change them.
That frustrating gap between what you know and what you feel is where a lot of shame, self-criticism or feeling of being stuck creep in.

Connecting With Others

Many of our deepest struggles emerge within relationships.
How you experience closeness, conflict, trust, vulnerability, self-worth, and emotional safety is shaped by early relational experiences, often before you had language for any of it.
A central theme in my work is helping people develop the capacity to remain connected to themselves while staying emotionally connected to others.
Many people find themselves caught in an exhausting dilemma:
When they stay connected to themselves, they fear losing connection with others.

Because meaningful change often happens when all three come together.

MEET MS. TAMANA MITTAL

"I don't believe therapy is about fixing you. I believe it's about helping you understand yourself with honesty and compassion, so that the parts of you that learned to survive can finally begin to thrive. Healing isn't about becoming someone new—it's about coming home to yourself."

- Ms. Tamana Mittal

I am particularly interested in how people adapt in order to maintain connection—often becoming highly capable, self-aware, and responsible while quietly losing touch with their own needs.

My approach is deeply relational and grounded in psychodynamic, attachment, and developmental psychotherapy. I understand emotional difficulties within the context of a person’s relationships, life experiences, and nervous system, rather than as isolated symptoms. To support healing, I integrate contemporary trauma, somatic, parts based and experiential approaches, tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs and goals.

Areas I Commonly Work With
• Anxiety, chronic stress, and emotional overwhelm
• Complex and developmental trauma (C-PTSD)
• Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Bipolar Disorder
• Narcissistic abuse and relational trauma
• Shame, perfectionism, and low self-worth
• People-pleasing and boundary difficulties
• Burnout and emotional numbness
• Relationship and attachment difficulties
• Identity confusion and feeling stuck
• Emotional dysregulation and overwhelm

Therapeutic Approaches
That Inform My Work

I work integratively, tailoring therapy to the unique emotional, relational, developmental, and nervous system patterns each person brings.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Understanding unconscious patterns, emotional conflicts, and relationship templates.

Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT)

Developing curiosity toward your own inner world and the experiences of others.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Working compassionately with different parts of yourself rather than fighting against them.

CBT & Cognitive Approaches

Identifying and challenging patterns that keep you stuck.

Somatic & Body-Oriented Therapies

Helping the nervous system process what words alone cannot reach.

Experiential Psychotherapy

Using emotional experience and the therapeutic relationship to create lasting change.

Trauma-Focused Approaches

Supporting healing from overwhelming experiences and trauma adaptations.

Polyvagal-Informed Therapy

Understanding how safety, stress, and connection shape the nervous system.

Attachment-Focused Therapy

Exploring how early relationships influence present-day patterns.

Relational Psychotherapy

Recognising that healing often happens within relationships.

Developmental Approaches

Understanding how early experiences continue to influence adult life.

While these approaches differ in important ways, they all support the same goal:
